Sable was getting some work done on her feet.
There was bug juice being applied to every horse that wanted it.
Astrid stayed after her bug juice application and napped while Sable had her feet done…
Never far from her best friend, always happy to be near her people.
Such a sweetheart.

Lovely to see a pony on the Hop, and such a fine one too. Hope those bugs kept away. What do you use as nothing here in UK seems to be really effective for the old horse we have at the Palace. purrs ERin

We rotate between the 2 most effective we’ve found…
WIPE, which is a very chemical heavy, but super effective product. Stinks like rancid gasoline, in my opinion. Oh, but it works so well! Keeps away the 1″ long horse flies we get.
At least, until they get used to it.
Mid-summer we switched to Flicks, which is all natural essential oils. As a change up repellent, it works very well. But, it’s not so good with wood ticks, so it’s better for later in the season, when we don’t have as many.
We have so many bugs out here…lol!

Astrid what a beauty you are. I love your little blaze with your dark mane. Lee’s grandmother always had white horses and now that the farm is sold and the horses gone Lee misses riding a horse.
