Soaking Up the Sunshine

Saturday we got a major downpour, coupled with an intense storm. The past few days have been much cooler and more comfortable. Though, the end of the week is looking to heat up again…that’s okay, the heat and sun help things grow. Growing gardens, growing pastures, growing grass…all good things! 🙂

Yesterday, while cool in the morning, we had amazing sunshine. That made The Girls have an attack of E.C.D…Equine Cat Disease.

If you click to bigify, you can see the smile on Sable’s face. There is something so wonderful about lying flat-out in the full sun, and she’s loving it.

While taking these pictures, I managed to catch Cookie do something that I’ve wanted to photograph for a while now, but never had the chance to catch it…

And then, the relax after the good stretch…

See that smile? That's because she just farted.

She also does a downward facing dog type stretch…much like a cat does, that I hope to one day catch with the camera.

It’s gotta feel great to lie down flat when you are a horse! They don’t get to do it often enough!
