Sable Enjoys a Snack

Unfortunately, Sable’s snack is one of our few trees.

Nom!

Nom!

She munched, and she crunched…

Nom!

Nom!

She snacked and she nibbled…

Nom!

Nom!

There’s not much bark left!

Nom!

Nom!

Brat. I hope this tree survives her de-barking of it…we don’t have many of them!

from my past experience with my horse de-barking trees, the tree will sometimes survive for a while if you rescue it and keep the horses away. If there is 1/2 the bark left it might make it. If you want to save it, build a small fence around it or wrap the trunk with chicken wire.
Or you can let it be a horse chew toy 🙂
what amazing flat land, and open. Nothing like that here in NH.
