We’ve had a mega amount of snow dropped on us again. No surprise. It’s March. March doesn’t know if it wants to be spring, or winter. March is just plain confused. When March is confused, and I’m tired of shoveling, I take pictures…here’s a random sample from the past few days:
Here we have the Elusive Sable-Whale. This is a rare sighting, and an even more rare picture. Since she came here on Nov. 16/2013 (always and forever going to be known as Sable, Ruby, and Cookie’s “Gotcha Day”), I’ve only seen this 3 times…today was the only time I got out to the pasture in time to get photographic proof.
Lovely weather today…lots and lots of sun. Means melting snow on the roof of the garage. Also means it drips on Ruby, who happens to like standing right beside the garage for her naps. Now she’s a horsicle. Yes, that’s ice all through her mane!
Yesterday’s snow storm brought out the craziness in the girls. I made many attempts to catch photos of it…here Astrid is cantering past me. Out of 200 images captured, this is the only one that came out this clear and beautiful. It was fantastic to see Little A playing with everyone and having fun.
Yeah, she’s not a pony, but she sure is pretty. And, she does love to pose for the camera. She *knows* she pretty. It’s good, because she’s also happy here, and she’s not afraid to show it. One day I’ll share the latest installment in the “I thought I was going to be Painted Pony Paste” saga.
Was so nice out this afternoon, the cats came out to play. Fiona is growing into a beautiful girl, and thankfully, she’s smarter than Spooky. Don’t get me wrong, I love Spooky, but that boy is dumb like a rock! Good thing he’s so dang good-looking.
The best update this week…Daphne is out of her cast. This is a temporary bandage/splint combo that is to help support her foot while she gets used to using it again. 10 weeks in a cast means puppies have to re-learn how to walk on a leg that has little to no strength. She’s getting a lot of kennel rest, whether she likes it or not. At least she gets to have her antler chewy while she’s on kennel rest.
